Leading tier 1 construction company operating within the building refurbishment sector are currently looking to recruit a Communications and Marketing Assistant to help deliver both internal and external communications across the business.
The role requires an interest and appreciation of the building and construction industry as the role will be office based with central London site visits
Key Responsibilities
- Help support business development and major bid submissions through compelling written content and messaging
- Assist with communications to engage employees across projects, offices, and sites
- Develop content for internal channels including intranet, newsletters,
- Assist with external communications including media relations, corporate announcements, and thought leadership
- Draft and approve media releases, statements, case studies, and executive speeches
- Work closely with Managers to better facilitate communications with clients, communities, and government stakeholders
- Support community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities where required
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications materials
- Createcontent across digital platforms, social media, websites, and marketing collateral
- Support communications related to sustainability, ESG, safety, diversity, and social impact initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Interest and desire to work in the construction industry
- Ideally some experience in a communications role, ideally within construction but not essential
- Ability to think Strategically
- Good writing skills and editing ability across a range of audiences and formats
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects
