We are recruiting a junior estimator to work for a well-established fit-out building contractor delivering high-quality commercial and workplace projects in London and the South-East This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in estimating within the construction industry. You will work alongside the companies experienced estimator gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of projects. Key Responsibilities * Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. * Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents. * Measure quantities from drawings using digital take-off software. * Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. * Help prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules. * Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases. * Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients where required. * Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team. * Carry out general administrative duties within the estimating department. You will need: * Previous experience in construction, estimating, quantity surveying, or a related role is desirable but not essential. * A qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline is advantageous. * Strong numerical and analytical skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * A willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry. * A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
