We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major Civil Engineer contractor working on a large hydro-electric power scheme in Scotland that includes building, MEP and civil works for a new road construction project. The role will be based in the Swindon office with some remote working.
Responsibilities
- Submit and secure applications to maximise cash income
- Prepare or approve subcontractor payments to ensure compliance with terms
- Produce accurate and timely forecasts and monthly reports to demonstrate contract performance
- Prepare communications to ensure that timely and effective replies are sent
- Monitor commercial and contract performance to ensure prompt and focussed corrective action
- Systematically review and validate incoming information
- Ensure that local teams and workloads are balanced
- Mentor subordinate staff
- Lead regular commercial meetings internally or with client
Qualifications
- Minimum an HNC in Quantity Surveying
- Experienced Commercial Manager with a track record of heading up major infrastructure projects
In return a top day rate (to be discussed) is on offer, and the role is outside IR35 with a 6-month contract.
