Our client, a top regional Contractor in the UK, are seeking a freelance Section Engineer to join their team on a major Road Construction scheme in Colchester to focus on the Highways, Drainage and structures for this scheme.
Daily duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of RAMs and Task Briefs
- Overseeing Engineering staff on site
- Client liaison
- Issuing permits to dig
To be considered, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and ideally hold SMSTS, CSCS and have the below experience:
- Highways experience including drainage, structures, kerbing and surfacing
- Understanding of ITPs and willingness to complete required paperwork
- Raising of TQs for onward client answer
- If possible, have EUSR CAT 1 to enable completion of permits to dig
- Experience of using Cable avoidance tools such as CAT4 or vLoc3Pro
