Senior Health and Safety Advisor My client is a well-established, privately owned construction and infrastructure company in the UK. They provide a range of services, primarily focused on utilities (water, wastewater, energy, and telecoms), civil engineering, and traffic management. They have a brand-new opportunity for a qualified Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. The Role In this role you\’ll get to use your excellent communications skills, to inspire and help your operational colleagues to execute their work, whilst consistently using “best in class” health and safety practices. You will be encouraged to create communication strategies which resonate and inspire from in-person. Here are just some of the activities you’ll be getting involved with * Managing and executing site inspections * Advising on and setting operational team safety objectives * Supporting and undertaking investigations into accidents and incidents * Contributing to new tenders and bids * Assessing external environments for safe working * Identifying any gaps in the H&S management system; recommending improvements * Developing and implementing new initiatives or sharing best practice with colleagues * Advising on and communicating new working practices in line with any new legislative requirements or best practice * Actively encouraging Safety Observations and Hazard Reporting Please get in touch if you can demonstrate… * Exceptional communications skills and originality as well as H&S expertise are all essential for success in this role. * We’ll be looking for you to demonstrate an innovative approach to H&S problem solving, along with significant experience in a H&S advisory role, underpinned by a thorough understanding of current HSE legislation. * A NEBOSH Construction Certification or equivalent i.e., HNC in Construction as a minimum and a Tech IOSH Membership and working towards Grad or equivalent. * Utilities/Gas industry experience would be highly advantageous. * If you enjoy operating in a fast-paced and transient working environment, which is not restricted to a single or enclosed site, then this role could be perfect for you Please get in touch if you\’re interested and would like more information
