Our client supplies high-quality, close-tolerance components into industries such as aerospace, medical, and motorsport. With a focus on quality, innovation, and continuous investment in the latest CNC technology, they are now looking to add a skilled CNC Turner who is keen to learn Sliding Head (Swiss-type) machining. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner looking to expand their skill set and progress within a supportive, forward-thinking engineering environment.
As a CNC Turner, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision-engineered components. You will also receive full training and support to develop your knowledge of Sliding Head lathes, giving you valuable, transferable skills to enhance your career in precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC Turning centres to produce precision components.
- Work from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Machine components from a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and plastics.
- Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Assist with tooling selection, offsets, and minor program edits.
- Receive in-depth Sliding Head training (Star, Citizen, or similar machines).
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure parts meet exacting standards.
