Responsibilities
Our Procurement lead will research new products and services, develop, and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services across our UK wide network.
They will monitor business trends, product availability and market influences to drive maximum supplier and market performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with creation of procurement and supply chain strategy
- Creation and development of support documentation for the Commercial Department.
- Creation of supplier service level agreements
- Optimise ordering and reordering from suppliers
- Mitigate risks by managing supplier relationships
- Maintain records of all suppliers
- Supporting the Commercial Manager forecasting and aligning findings with supply chain management
- Research requirements, opportunities, trends, and developments in the sector
- Collaborate to improve supplier relationships and supplier performance
- Review and manage supplier Non-Compliance
- Consider environmental impact of the supply chain and sustainability targets
- Lead, develop and coach Procurement Buyers
Qualifications
- CIPS qualification (or working towards one) is desirable. Candidates with equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience of leading and developing a team within a procurement, supply chain, or similar operational environment is desirable.
