We're looking for an experienced Property and Infrastructure Lead to shape the future of our estate and make a real impact across more than 50 sites nationwide. As our Property and Infrastructure Lead, you'll oversee the strategic and operational management of our entire property portfolio - over one million square feet across the UK. You will define the long-term property strategy, ensure compliance across the estate, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

This is a senior role working closely with Commercial, Infrastructure, Finance, Operations, Aviva Group Property, and local authorities to ensure our sites remain safe, compliant, future-focused, and aligned with our sustainability ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and delivering the long-term property strategy for Solus
  • Managing a portfolio of 50+ properties, mainly industrial sites
  • Overseeing asset management, leasing, business rates, utilities, and property legal matters
  • Ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance across the estate
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, councils, suppliers, and Aviva Group functions
  • Influencing investment decisions and shaping the future infrastructure of the business
  • Leading and developing team members, while supporting capability growth across the wider department
  • Mitigating financial, legal, and operational risks through strong governance and planning

Qualifications

  • Professional expertise in asset management and capital programmes
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, including energy efficiency standards
  • Experience leading change and guiding teams through transformation
  • Understanding of sustainability, lifecycle planning, and long-term portfolio management
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to plan 1-10 years ahead
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent)
  • MRICS qualification with post-qualification experience
  • A management qualification (or evidence of significant leadership development)
  • Property legal knowledge is desirable but not essential
