Overview
This role involves providing maintenance, repair, and construction services across the company to minimize building defects, reduce downtime, and ensure regular maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of mains and 3-phase power installations and maintenance.
- Providing certification for electrical installations.
- Responding quickly to emergency situations.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
- Wiring machinery and electrical panels according to prints and standards.
- Identifying electrical issues and proposing logical solutions.
- Familiarity with UK industrial and electrical laws.
- Qualified to Level 3 Award in Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018.
- Willing to work late hours, overnight shifts, and weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Critical thinking to resolve problems effectively.
- Implementing planned preventive maintenance for buildings and utilities.
- Completing maintenance logs and reports accurately and timely.
- Coordinating with external contractors and assisting on-site.
- Maintaining adequate supplies of spare parts.
- Creating and updating technical files for equipment.
- Conducting safety inspections and taking corrective actions.
- Following quality procedures and calibrating equipment.
- Communicating process changes and providing training as needed.
- Reporting major breakdowns and delays promptly.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Experience in a facilities team environment.
- Appropriate electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, with at least 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Experience installing Electric Vehicle Charge Points is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety rules in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with industrial and electrical laws.
- Ability to work late hours, overnight, and weekends.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Possession of Mobile Boom certificate (IPAF) is desirable.
