The Parts Assistant role at Solus is essential to keeping repairs moving smoothly. You support the flow of work across the site by making sure the right parts and consumables are ordered, tracked, stored and available when they’re needed. This is a practical, organised role that combines coordination, attention to detail and teamwork, and plays a direct part in helping us get customers back to normal as efficiently as possible.
As a Parts Assistant, you’ll work closely with technicians, customer teams and suppliers to support day-to-day operations. You’ll:
- Order parts and consumables to support vehicle repairs
- Source alternative or recycled parts where appropriate and available
- Receive, check, store and return parts using clear goods-in and goods-out processes
- Keep parts areas organised, labelled and easy to access
- Support invoice and credit note processing alongside the Parts Lead
- Share information on parts lead times, availability and delays with the wider team
- Build positive working relationships with suppliers and site colleagues
- Support vehicle movements, including collecting or delivering customer vehicles when required and resource allows
This is a role where organisation, reliability and clear communication make a genuine difference to repair quality and customer experience.
