Commercial Manager required for a very well established and respected civil engineering business located in the West Midlands region.
Working with a team of 4-5 Quantity Surveyors you will be responsible for the:
- Financial management of the projects
- Client welfare & relationship building
- Profit maximisation through live schemes
- Risk awareness and mitigation
- Management of the Surveying team (reviews, assistance, etc)
- Overseeing budgetary responsibility
- Taking responsibility for contractual matters on projects and with clients and stakeholders
- Various other traditional commercial manager duties on a day to day basis
JCT and NEC forms of contract. Circa 10-14 live projects operating at any time.
Company Profile:
- £30m turnover very established and respected Civil Engineering business
- Operating on schemes valued between £1m - £8m typically
- Over 25 years trading history
- Working with various major building contractors and end users
- Covering civil engineering across: Défense, Education, Healthcare, Commercial & Industrial
Works will typically include:
- Bulk excavation and earthworks
- Ground beams, floor slabs, and pile caps
- Foundations
- Specialist tanking installation
- Retaining walls
- Substructures & Basements
- External works & Hard landscaping
Rewards:
- PAYE: Salary to suit experience level. Expected circa £100,000 - £130,000 + Car package, Pension, Holidays, etc
- LTD Company Status: Outside IR35 with contract for services issued. Expected £500 - £600 per day
