Senior Estimator required by a very reputable and well recognised civil engineering business. Working for a privately owned principal contractor, this opportunity comes with career growth potential, stability, and the chance to head up a team in the future.

Typical Duties:

  • First principles pricing of projects
  • Take offs, measurement and rates build up
  • Value engineering throughout tenders at times
  • Spotting risk and reward opportunities
  • Attending tender adjudication meetings with Directors
  • Attending prestart meetings at project stage
  • Client communication when required
  • Subcontractor communication when required
  • Overseeing and managing tenders and bids workload through a team
  • Pricing tenders valued between £3m - £25m typically
  • Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base
  • Reporting to the business shareholders

Company Profile: A very well-respected Civil Engineering business that operates on projects ranging from £3m - £25m in value across the UK. Covering civil engineering including but not limited to:

  • Major Commercial & Industrial civil engineering infrastructure
  • Technology, Motorsport and heavy industry
  • 278 works, s38 works, rail, etc.

Project types will typically include but are not limited to:

  • Earthworks, ground improvement works, bulk excavation
  • Ground beams and floor slabs, pile caps, foundations
  • Specialist tanking installation, retaining walls and structures
  • Reinforced concrete sub-structures and super-structures
  • Formwork installations, basements, external works and hard landscaping
  • Roads, utilities, major infrastructure, junctions, bridges, shafts, etc.

Rewards:

Salary to suit experience level – expected between £80,000 - £100,000 + package, Holiday, Pension, Car Package, etc. This can be Ltd company status also.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid experience within the Civil Engineering sector
  • First Principles Estimating
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills and experience
