Warehouse Technician works in the warehouse, assisting with the preparation and dispatch of hire equipment. The role provides support to ensure exceptional service delivery and meets business requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparation, assembly, and de-preparation of live events lighting equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is delivered on time with appropriate packaging and documentation.
- Reporting any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment to managers.
- Maintaining the hire preparation area clean, organised and tidy.
- Assisting with loading and tipping of courier/transport vehicles.
- Coordinating effectively with third parties and customers to provide high standard of support.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders, both written and verbal.
- Acting as a Solotech ambassador at all times.
- Performing any other reasonable requests from the manager.
Qualifications Experience and skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Competent with computers and databases.
- Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, recognising when to ask questions.
- Flexible and adaptable with multitasking and calm under pressure.
- Industry experience is advantageous.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of professional lighting equipment.
- Experience operating a forklift, load/unload vehicles and maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work and remain in the UK.
- Ability to travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays as required.
