HR Advisor – Immediate Start

Location: Nottingham (On-site) Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week Contract: Ongoing Maternity Cover Start Date: Immediate – Monday start available Salary: Competitive / DOE

Our client, a well-established civil infrastructure company, is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on an ongoing maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who is available to start immediately and enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role.

Working as part of a busy business, you'll provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle while taking ownership of HR projects and supporting managers with day-to-day people matters.

The Role

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and remain compliant with employment legislation.
  • Lead and support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting where required.

About You

  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
  • Confident working independently and managing a broad HR remit.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of HR projects alongside day-to-day HR responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.

This is a fully on-site role based in Nottingham, working three days per week.
