Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid - Tuesday on-site, with flexibility to work remotely for part of the week)

Contract: Initial 3-month contract

Hours: 21.9 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

Rate: £28.86 per hour PAYE or £39.40 per hour LTD

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced MBA Operations Lead to join a leading London-based higher education institution during an exciting period of transformation. As the MBA programme transitions from a fully online model to hybrid delivery and prepares for future growth, you will play a pivotal role in leading day-to-day operations, supporting the programme administration team, and driving process improvements to enhance both the staff and student experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Higher Education Administration Manager, Student Services Manager, Registry Team Leader, or Academic Operations professional looking to make an immediate impact.

The Role

  • Lead and supervise the MBA Programme Administration team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coach, mentor and develop colleagues while allocating workloads and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence by reviewing, streamlining and improving administrative processes.
  • Lead change initiatives to support the transition to hybrid programme delivery.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and priorities are effectively managed.
  • Standardise policies, procedures, checklists and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Support the delivery of an outstanding student experience throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with academic staff, professional services teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and relevant regulations, including GDPR and quality standards.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and implement solutions to support successful programme delivery.

About You

You will have experience working within a Higher Education environment and be passionate about delivering excellent operational support. You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a senior administrative or operational role supporting undergraduate or postgraduate programmes.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising administration teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the student lifecycle and academic programme administration.
  • Experience reviewing and improving administrative systems, policies and processes.
  • Demonstrable project management and change management experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience within Higher Education.
