We're recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for an experienced Geocoder to join their established Geospatial team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work fully remotely, supporting the delivery of high-quality geospatial data and location intelligence for a large-scale programme.
We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and experience working with address matching, geocoding and spatial data who can ensure data accuracy and integrity across a range of GIS datasets.
The Role
- Geocode and validate address and location datasets.
- Cleanse, maintain and quality assure spatial data.
- Identify, investigate and resolve data anomalies.
- Maintain GIS databases and associated records.
- Support the production of mapping outputs and geospatial datasets.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver accurate and reliable location data.
- Ensure data standards and quality procedures are consistently maintained.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Geocoder, GIS Technician, GIS Analyst or similar geospatial role.
- Experience using GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online or QGIS.
- A good understanding of geocoding, spatial data and coordinate systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Desirable
- Experience with SQL, Python or FME.
- Knowledge of spatial databases and geospatial data management.
