We are looking for a Lighting Design Technician to join our dynamic team in Bradford. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual.
As a Lighting Design Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of exterior lighting solutions for highways, public spaces, and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet technical standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the design and development of exterior lighting schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and client specifications.
- Support the day-to-day activities of the exterior lighting team, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Assist in the delivery of lighting and electrical projects to the highest standards, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments across various UK locations to gather essential data for lighting designs and electrical installations.
- Utilise lighting design software to create detailed plans and technical drawings.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in lighting design and electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in highways electrical work or a similar related field.
- Engineering qualification: Educated to A level/ONC.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD 2013 or later.
- Knowledge of lighting and electrical design software is an advantage.
- UK driving licence (desirable).
- Technical knowledge of lighting and electrical systems. (Desirable)
- Proactive and capable of working independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve technical challenges.
