About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Disposal & Acquisition Surveyor to join a high-performing Strategic Property Services team. This senior role is responsible for leading the acquisition, disposal and investment management of a diverse property portfolio, supporting the delivery of capital programmes and wider organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of commercial and operational assets, providing strategic property advice, leading complex negotiations, and ensuring maximum value is achieved from property holdings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property assets.
- Develop and deliver disposal, acquisition and investment strategies.
- Undertake financial, commercial and development appraisals to support investment decisions.
- Identify opportunities to maximise asset value and capital receipts.
- Lead negotiations with developers, landowners, agents and other stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice on development opportunities, property investment and asset management.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Commission and manage external consultants and legal advisers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance requirements and industry best practice.
- Manage and support Senior Surveyors and Trainee Surveyors.
- Contribute to strategic asset management plans and investment portfolio reporting.
About You
You will be an MRICS-qualified Chartered Surveyor with significant post-qualification experience in property acquisition and disposal, commercial property, landlord and tenant matters, valuation and investment. You'll have strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, developers and external partners. Experience preparing commercial appraisals, managing external consultants and delivering high-quality reports is essential.
