A leading global aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join its HR team in Belfast on an initial 18-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and is looking to play a key role in supporting HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within a large, complex organisation.

As HR Advisor, you will provide essential HR generalist support across multiple HR functions including HR Business Partnering, Learning & Development, Resourcing, and Reward. You will support managers and employees while helping to drive operational excellence, reporting accuracy, and evidence-based HR decision making. This role offers broad exposure across the HR function and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational change within a collaborative and high-performing HR community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR generalist support across the HR function
  • Support the delivery of HR campaigns across HRBP, Reward, Learning and Resourcing teams
  • Advise managers on HR policies, disciplinary matters, grievance processes, and case management
  • Coordinate HR data reporting and provide analysis to support business decisions
  • Identify trends and potential HR risks through workforce data analysis (e.g. absence, training completion, time management)
  • Support recruitment and talent management activities
  • Manage escalated HR policy and process queries
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR reporting, systems, and processes
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of HR data across functions and locations

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Postgraduate qualification in HR or a related discipline
  • Previous HR experience within a generalist or specialist HR role
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability with advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification
  • Experience within a large or matrix organisation
  • HR transformation or continuous improvement experience
  • Strong influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience

Contract Details

  • Location: Belfast
  • Duration: 18 months initially
  • Hours: 36 hours per week (4.5 days)
  • Working Pattern: Flexible between 7am–7pm (business needs dependent)

Rates

  • £26.71 per hour PAYE
  • £35.72 per hour Umbrella
