We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Compliance Officer to support a busy local authority estates function in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team responsible for maintaining statutory compliance across a diverse property portfolio.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and operational by carrying out and coordinating a range of statutory inspections and compliance activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking scheduled compliance inspections across: Legionella, Asbestos, Fire systems, Emergency lighting & egress, M&E plant and equipment
- Identifying non-compliance issues and raising remedial actions via CAFM systems
- Taking immediate action where life safety systems are compromised
- Supporting contractor management and ensuring works are completed to required standards
- Maintaining accurate compliance records and reports
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in estates, facilities management, or building compliance. You will ideally have:
- Experience in multi-disciplinary compliance (electrical, fire, water, asbestos etc.)
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within commercial or public sector buildings
- Experience using CAFM systems
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services
- Ability to identify risks and act decisively in safety-critical situations
