We have a great opportunity within our Direct Repairs department for a qualified Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, and inspection services to our residents, internal teams, and partner organisations. This is a hands-on position with variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real difference in the community.

The Role

  • Carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance works
  • Completing electrical testing, inspections, and surveys
  • Undertaking Periodic Inspection & Testing and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
  • Producing clear, accurate reports and certification
  • Supporting colleagues and partners with technical expertise
  • Participating in an Out of Hours rota, enhancing your overall earnings

The primary working area will be South London.

What You’ll Have

Electrical Installation – Section A (Essential)

You must hold one of the following qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3 (from Sept 2011)
  • City & Guilds 2365 Levels 2 & 3 + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2357 + AM2
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification 2346 + AM2

EInspection & Testing – Section B (Essential for Voids)

You must hold one of the following:

  • City & Guilds 2391 – Periodic Inspection & Testing
  • City & Guilds 2395 – Inspection & Testing

Wiring Regulations (Essential)

City & Guilds 2382-18/20 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance and/or installation.

Driving Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • No more than 6 points
  • No serious motoring offences in the last 10 years (CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, MR, TT)
  • Minimum 2 years’ driving experience
  • Driving licence checks will be carried out as part of our standard pre-employment process
