We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor to support a busy Housing organisation with its commercial property and disposal programme. This is a key role focused on strategic asset management, property disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and delivering capital receipts across a varied property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage property disposals and acquisitions
  • Identify development and asset enhancement opportunities
  • Provide professional valuation advice for operational and strategic assets
  • Manage landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals, dilapidations, break clauses and disputes
  • Support regeneration and development projects across the portfolio
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Instruct and manage external consultants, agents and solicitors
  • Support strategic asset management planning and portfolio performance
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Monitor budgets, income forecasts and performance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and professional requirements including RICS standards

Requirements

  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in commercial estates management and property disposals
  • Experience within housing, public sector or complex multi-site portfolios
  • Excellent knowledge of landlord & tenant legislation and valuation methodology
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong negotiation, communication and report-writing skills
  • Experience managing consultants and external professional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
