Contract: Temporary Initial 3 months

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Approximately 2 days office-based and 3 days on site

Pay Rate: 20.66 per hour PAYE or 26.08 per hour Umbrella

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Area Maintenance Surveyor to join the Asset Maintenance Team in Salisbury on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support the maintenance and improvement of council housing across Wiltshire. You will manage a geographical patch of properties, providing technical expertise across responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids, damp and mould, disrepair and wider asset improvement programmes.

The Role As an Area Maintenance Surveyor, you will:

  • Carry out property inspections and stock condition surveys, diagnosing building defects and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Manage repair, maintenance, void, damp and mould, disrepair and planned maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, schedules of works and budget estimates.
  • Commission and oversee contractors, specialist providers and in-house teams.
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, costs, timescales and compliance.
  • Investigate complex property and maintenance issues and provide practical recommendations.
