ABOUT ME
I’m a young man living at home with my dad and our friendly dog. I have a good sense of humour and enjoy being around people who are relaxed, respectful, and kind. I have complex health needs, including the use of a PEG and non-invasive ventilation to support my breathing. I require 24/7 care and support and I’m looking for a reliable, caring personal assistant to join my small, dedicated team.
My care is a mix of clinical and personal support — I need help with my daily routines, personal care, and monitoring of my equipment, as well as accessing the community.
HOURS
20 hours per week. Sunday and Monday 7am – 5pm. There is the possibility of additional hours. Shifts are well-structured, and you’ll always have support nearby if needed.
PAY
Day hours £12.74 per hour.
Night hours/Sunday- £16.56 per hour.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
The ideal person will live local or ideally have access to a car due to remote location and public transport not being available around the shift times. It is desirable that you can commit to regular shifts, with some flexibility to help cover holidays or sickness if needed. You don’t need to have experience with PEG care or non-invasive ventilation — full training will be provided — but you do need to be confident, attentive, and willing to learn. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a home environment and respecting our routines. Being good with dogs is also important — our family dog is part of the team too!
BENEFITS
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
- Company pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the scheme rules.
- Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
- Free parking on site!
- Free training and development for all roles.
- Access to wellbeing and support tools.
- ‘Star of the Month’ rewards
