ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a young female wheelchair user and live with my family in Nuneaton, Stockingford. I rely on my parents and a small team of assistants to provide my personal care and to support me with day-to-day living activities. I love to be outdoors, I have my own transport but also love to use public transport. I rely on the people supporting me to become familiar with my forms of communication and support me in the community. The hours will be 12 hours to include one weekday 6 hours and one weekend day 6 hours; no overnight stays. Shifts can be discussed at interview stage. Due to the nature of the role, the client requires a female personal assistant to support with personal care including bathing and dressing, PEG feeding (training is provided), administering medication, continence management, providing stimulation, hoisting to and from bed (training provided), escorting me to and from social activities, and domestic support to carry out any other duties or activities connected with the role.
