About the role

I am a young girl living with my Parents in our family home, in Kirkby-In-Ashfield. I was born with Exomphalos Major; which is a type of abdominal wall defect, and a congenital heart disorder, which affects the way my heart works. I am also dependent on a ventilator via tracheostomy at night, and at times require suction to remove my secretions, medication via NG Tube and/or nebuliser, and overnight feeds via NG Tube. I require support to help me live life to the full, and learn about the World around me as I grow. I like my life to be fulfilled and busy; I learn through play activities and love going out and about – I enjoy going out to parks, out into the local community and partaking in any activities that will make me happy. I love animals; we have dogs at home and I love to play with them.

About you

I am looking to recruit one or more Bank Waking Night Support Workers who can support me throughout the night with clinical tasks such as suction, nebuliser, ventilation and medication, and also personal care. The ideal candidate will be female (to support with personal care), live locally to me in or close to Kirkby-In-Ashfield, be flexible, patient, have a good sense of humour and a genuine caring nature. You will need to be enthusiastic and inspiring to bring a sense of energy into my life. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home.

Benefits

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part‑time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the scheme rules.
  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
  • Free training and development for all roles.
  • Access to wellbeing and support tools.
  • And so much more!
