About the Role
Are you an outdoors enthusiast? Do you want a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference while enjoying the fresh air? We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and friendly Personal Assistant / Befriender to support an active and motivated 35‑year‑old man with learning disabilities in running his successful local lawn mowing and hedge trimming business. This isn't just a support role—it’s a partnership. You will act as his driver, business wingman and workplace cheerleader, helping him stay on track, thrive, and deliver excellent service to his customers.
Typical Day
- 8:30 am: Head to Tollerton to collect the business tools and vehicle (electric), pick up our client and head to the first gardening job of the day for a 9:00 am start.
- Help load and unload gardening tools, talk with customers to interpret their needs, oversee time management, bookings and some paperwork, promote new client opportunities.
Supervision & Support
Provide friendly, positive supervision. Our client thrives on praise and loves positive reinforcement for a job well done!

What We Are Looking For
- Age 25+ with a valid Automatic Driving Licence (strictly required for vehicle insurance purposes).
- An outgoing, chatty and encouraging personality—someone who genuinely enjoys building rapport.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills to handle customer interactions and basic business paperwork.
- A love for the outdoors (interest in gardening, swimming or skiing is a massive bonus!).
- Flexibility: Because gardening depends heavily on the weather, we need someone who can adapt to changing schedules across the designated working days.
