About the Role
The role involves supporting a 20‑year‑old person with Lowe Syndrome, Fanconi Syndrome, epilepsy, and complex medical needs. The support worker will assist in personal, medical, and practical care across two family homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with PEG feeding and other nutritional requirements.
- Support respiratory care and medication administration.
- Monitor and respond to epilepsy and seizure activities.
- Help with mobility and communication needs.
- Execute bedtime routines and coordinate with overnight staff.
- Attend to emotional and personal wellbeing to ensure safety and happiness.
- Participate in shadowing, meetings, and training programmes.
Requirements
- Calm, friendly, and patient disposition.
- Unphased by complex health needs and able to adapt quickly.
- Capacity to provide evening support to maintain safety.
- Ability to actively respond to seizure activity.
- Flexible schedule with willingness to work at both addresses.
- Basic training in personal and medical care; willingness to undergo mandatory and specialised training annually.
