I am a woman with primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis living in the Mansfield area of Nottinghamshire. I am looking to recruit a worker who can provide support to cover 24 hours per week. The right person will be patient, trustworthy and conscientious. You should also be flexible and helpful with the ability to respect my dignity and individuality. Although experience of working in care is essential, training will be given. Experience with MS is desirable although not essential. Candidates must be female due to the personal nature of the role (Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010).
The successful candidate will be required to provide:
- Personal care assist with dressing
- Help with mobility
- Support with medication
- Household tasks
- Meal preparation
- Running errands
- Assisting with shopping or picking up prescriptions
The role includes moving and handling as I am bed bound and a wheelchair user. It also includes the use of a hoist and medical support such as catheter support - full training will be provided but a basic (level NVQ2) understanding is required. Further NVQ training would also be available to a successful candidate.
Working pattern: 24 hours per week, working pattern to be confirmed.
Rate of pay: £ per hour (£ from April 2024)
Candidates for this position will need to be in a self-employed capacity.
