ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be supporting a young man who lives at home with his mother and has several complex medical conditions which interact with his neurodiversity. He has left sided impaired vision and uses a cane when in the community. He is a warm and engaging young man who thrives on routine, reassurance and structured activity. He experiences sensory overload and emotional distress at times and requires calm, consistent and confident support to help him stay regulated and safe.
The role will include supporting him at home and out in his local community. He will need support with personal care, meal preparation and medication administration, as well as understanding his medical conditions which include epilepsy.
You will need to take direction from his mother, working with Solo Support Services as your employer.
