ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a young man with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and severe epilepsy. I live at home with my family in the Newark area of Nottinghamshire. I am looking for caring individuals to join my current team, supporting me with my care needs throughout the day and night. You will be required to assist me with all aspects of personal care, including PEG feeding, care and administering medication, moving & handling, ventilation and suctioning tasks.
ABOUT YOU
You will be joining my established team, who support me with 2:1 support 24/7. You need to be positive, enthusiastic, caring and patient, and have experience in supporting individuals with a learning disability. You will be a strong communicator, trustworthy, respectful, a team player, and possess a genuine commitment to the role. We must get on well, as companionship is a key element to this role. Experience working with someone with complex needs and supporting them in their own home is desired but not essential, as comprehensive training will be given. Flexibility of working hours is important to meet my needs, and will include covering weekends and bank holidays.
