ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a young woman with complex health care needs such as Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy and I have a Gastrostomy PEG feed, and I require 1:1 support at all times. I live in my home with my family, and I have a great team of Personal Assistants who support me and know my needs. My conditions mean that I require support with all aspects of my daily living and suitable candidate will need to be able to support me with various tasks throughout the day, these include but are not limited to personal care, feeding, physical activities such as Hydrotherapy and Rebound therapy, administering of medication. I have a great sense of humour and enjoy a good laugh with people, socialising, music and the occasional quiz!
ABOUT YOU
I am looking for someone who understands my medical problems and can also provide emotional support. The ideal candidate will need to have a Full Manual license as there will be driving required. You will need to be enthusiastic, kind, patient, have a great sense of humour and inspiring to bring a sense of energy into my life. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home. Be able to provide 1:1, although, there may times that 2:1 care will be required so you must be a team player. Experience is advantageous but not compulsory as all training will be provided. Car drivers with a full, clean driving license are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes.
