ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a 35-year-old man living in Grantham, Lincolnshire and I am looking for a compassionate personal assistant to join my dedicated care team. I currently live with my family and two dogs and three cats who offer great comfort to me. I have complex care needs and require full-time support. I value stability in my care arrangements, ensuring my needs are met with minimal disruption. Being as independent as possible and enjoying the things I love, especially time with my family, is hugely important to me. I already have a fantastic Personal Assistant and now wish to find someone equally committed to working alongside us and becoming part of my team.
The ideal person for this role will have a genuinely caring nature, be respectful, patient, and flexible in adapting to the way I like things done. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key and the confidence to use your initiative. You’ll be guided not only by me but also by my family, so being a strong team player is essential. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll support me with household tasks, meal preparation, and joining in community activities. Your presence will ensure I’m safe, comfortable, and supported. It’s important that you’re also able to drive, as part of your role will involve assisting with transport to access the community.
ABOUT YOU
You genuinely care about making a positive difference in someone’s life. You’re calm, patient, respectful and able to build meaningful, professional relationships based on trust and consistency. You’re confident in providing high-quality person-centred care and understand the importance of supporting someone to live life their way. You’ll be reliable, proactive, and able to think on your feet. While you’re comfortable working independently, you’re also a team player, able to take direction from myself or my family, work collaboratively with my family, and communicate effectively.
It is important that you are able to work in an environment in which there are animals. Car drivers with a full, clean driving license are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes. You’ll need to feel comfortable with supporting me into the community and completing household tasks. A positive attitude is very important to me, as well as someone who can help me feel at ease. You’ll also need to be a confident driver, with a full UK licence, able to drive both manual and automatic cars, as you’ll be using my car to support me in the community. Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who will treat my home with respect and see this role as more than just a job; it’s about working together to support my independence, well-being, and quality of life. If you’re someone who truly wants to make a difference and be part of something meaningful, I’d love to hear from you.
BENEFITS
In return for your dedication, you’ll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
- Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to the scheme rules.
- Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
- Free training and development for all roles.
- Access to wellbeing and support tools.
- Star of the Month rewards.
- And so much more!
