Position Title: Personal Assistant (Females Required)
Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Pay: £14.15 per hour
Hours: Bank worker (shifts are 24 hours long, including a sleeping night, running from 08.00am to 08.00am)
Job Reference: SOLOKNS
About Me: I am a young at heart 55-year-old, independent person living in my own bungalow in Bamber Bridge. I work part time in social care and I enjoy going to the cinema, concerts, and binge-watching Netflix and Prime boxsets of foreign crime series and psychological dramas! I have a spinal cord injury from a motorbike accident many years ago and now use a power chair for mobility, and I drive a wheelchair accessible van. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to work within my existing team of excellent carers.
Female staff members are required (the employer has claimed an exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). The role will involve all aspects of independent living, including personal care, healthcare tasks, medication, supporting me away from the home, and domestic duties around the house.
About You: The ideal candidate needs to be able to work in an empowering way and understand the need for confidentiality. Experience of spinal cord injury would be an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be given, with ongoing support from the other PAs. A training program will be given bespoke to my requirements to ensure you are trained to the highest standards. I am looking for someone who can support me by working on an ad hoc basis to cover holidays and sickness, as and when needed. Each shift is 24 hours, including a sleeping night, shifts run from 08.00am to 08.00am. The rate of pay is £14.15 per hour.
Benefits: In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
- Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to the scheme rules.
- Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
- Free training and development for all roles.
- Access to wellbeing and support tools.
- Star of the Month rewards.
- And so much more!
