We are looking for a caring individual to join our current support team, supporting a young lady with complex health needs who lives in her own home in Poynton. You will be expected to build a good working relationship with the client, her family, and her team of PAs.

Key responsibilities & duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • To develop and maintain a caring and supportive relationship with our client.
  • To provide health care support including personal care, medication administration, nutrition and moving and handling, always following instruction from senior team members.
  • To be available to take part in the on-call rota when required.
  • You will also provide social and emotional support within the home and support the client to access the community and attend local activities.

About you:

We are looking for an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, kind, and caring. You must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to use your own initiative. Experience in Health and Social care is not necessary as full training will be provided. Car drivers with a full clean driving license and willing to drive the client's wheelchair accessible vehicle (manual gears) are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes. The position is based within the client's home but also within the wider local community. There will be occasions whereby it is necessary to travel to alternative locations. You will be required to work flexibly, and your working hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be reasonably fit and not afraid of water (swimming pool) because the client, who is a wheelchair user, enjoys taking part in a number of indoor and outdoor physical activities.

Benefits:

In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to the scheme rules.
  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
  • Free training and development for all roles.
  • Access to wellbeing and support tools.
  • Star of the Month rewards.
  • And so much more!
