About The Role
I am an 8-year-old girl with complex health needs, living at home with my parents and brother. I am an energetic young girl who loves playing on my mat with my toys, going to school and spending time with my family. As I have additional health needs, I need support at all times to keep me safe. I rely on my family, carers and my equipment to support me mobilise in my home environment and community.
About You
We are currently recruiting for a Female Care Assistant who can support me when I get home from school in the afternoon. I need someone to meet me off the bus, bring me into the house and take care of me until bedtime. This will include feeding me my dinner, playing with me or doing my physiotherapy exercises on the mat, giving me medicine, gastronomy care, support with personal care and getting me changed for bed. On some days when I have been particularly messy, I may need to be given a bath.
Candidates must be female due to the personal nature of the role (exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010).
The ideal candidate will be calm, reliable, and able to think on your feet. You will need to be part of my team, taking the lead from my Mum. Experience of working with children would be advantageous. Full training will be provided to meet my needs.
Hours Available: 15 hours per week: 3 hours a day (3.45pm 6.45pm), 5 days a week or weekend works. The family is flexible for the right person.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour.
Flexibility: Additional hours to cover holidays and sickness as required
