ABOUT THE ROLE
I am an 18-year-old young man looking for kind, caring, patient and dedicated individuals to support me within my family home environment. I have complex health care needs and require full-time support during the day and night. This is a rewarding and varied role where the successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care and support tailored to my needs.
Due to the complexity of care involved, full specialist training will be provided, and I am seeking someone committed to becoming a long-standing member of the team. The ideal person for this role will have a genuinely caring nature, be respectful, patient, and flexible in adapting to the way I like and need to be supported.
The role will also involve maintaining accurate records and documentation, undertaking regular training competency updates and carrying out light household duties relevant to the role. Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who will treat my home with respect and see this role as more than just a job; it’s about working together to support my well-being and quality of life.
You’re caring, patient, reliable and calm when under pressure, with the ability to remain organised and flexible to changing needs. A relaxed personality and a good sense of humour are essential, along with the ability to work comfortably within a family home environment and around friendly dogs. Experience supporting individuals with complex medical needs is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate. Car drivers with a full, clean driving license are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes.
