Solo Service Group is recruiting a cleaning operative to join our team on a part‑time, permanent basis in the Merthyr Tydfil area. We are looking for reliable and diligent individuals to join our team; we will provide all the necessary training, therefore we need you to bring the drive and commitment to support the collective success of the team.
Working Hours & Pay
- Weekly Hours: 12.5 hrs, with possible overtime.
- Daily Hours: 2.5 hrs.
- Days of work: Monday – Friday.
- Shift times: Must be flexible and available to work between the hours of 06:00–08:00 and 15:30–18:00.
- Hourly rate: £12.71.
- Owning a vehicle is essential as work will be required across a number of sites throughout Merthyr Tydfil County.
Successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check for this role due to the setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Your main aim will be to carry out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins and cleaning toilets, classrooms and other school areas as required.
- Ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
- Deal with any customer requests promptly and courteously.
Requirements
- Good attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
- To be reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
- Cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided if necessary.
