Position: Cleaning Operative – Temporary, 01/06/2026 to 01/06/2027 covering maternity leave at Waterstones Book Store, Sheffield, 24-26 Orchard Street, Sheffield S1 2FB.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins, cleaning washroom and kitchen areas, and various spaces as required.
- Ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
- Deal with any customer requests promptly and courteously.
Qualifications: Full training will be provided if necessary.
Documents Required for Work:
- Valid ID (passport, driving licence, or birth certificate).
- Proof of National Insurance number.
- Proof of address dated within the last three months (e.g., bank statement or utility bill).
Working Hours:
- Monday 08:30 – 11:00.
- Tuesday – Friday 08:30 – 10:30.
- Hours per day: 2–2.5.
- Weekly hours: 10.5.
National Minimum Wage applies.
