Solo Fitness designs and sells premium fitness equipment for home gyms, direct to customers through our own online store. Our benches, weights and strength kit are built to the standard you'd expect in a commercial gym, because that's where we come from. Solo Fitness is part of Jigsaw Fitness, a Lancashire business that designs, fabricates and installs bespoke equipment for commercial gyms. That heritage gives Solo something most home fitness brands can't match: real engineering and manufacturing know-how behind every product. The Solo Fitness brand is growing fast, and this role sits at the centre of our plans.

The Role

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own and grow an online number. You'll run the Solo Fitness Shopify store day to day, manage our paid media agency, plan the trading calendar and work closely with our Social and Content Specialist to turn traffic into revenue. You'll have real autonomy and a direct line to the leadership team, and you'll be judged on results.

What you'll do

  • Own Solo's online revenue, conversion rate, AOV and contribution margin against target.
  • Run the Shopify store hands-on: products, collections, merchandising, theme changes, apps, promotions and site content.
  • Plan and deliver the trading calendar, including launches, seasonal campaigns and BFCM
  • Manage our paid media agency: set budgets and targets, challenge performance and push creative testing.
  • Manage our upcoming expansion into new geographical markets (US and EU).
  • Run email marketing, building flows and campaigns that grow repeat purchase.
  • Improve conversion through testing, UX fixes, reviews, delivery messaging and finance options.
  • Own SEO and onsite content alongside the Social and Content Specialist, and set content priorities around what sells.
  • Lead generative engine optimisation (GEO), making sure Solo products are found and recommended in AI search and assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, through structured product data, reviews and content.
  • Work with operations and purchasing on stock availability, lead times and delivery so the site sells what we can ship.
  • Report weekly and monthly on performance, with clear actions, to the Commercial Director and Senior Team.
  • After probation this role may line-manage our Social and Content Specialist.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in eCommerce, including owning a DTC revenue target.
  • Strong hands-on Shopify experience; you're comfortable in the admin, the theme editor and the app ecosystem.
  • Experience managing a paid media agency working on primarily on Meta and Google.
  • Confident with GA4, TripleWhale (or similar), Ahrefs (or similar), Shopify analytics and Excel; you make decisions from data.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a direct report.
  • Commercial awareness: you understand margin, shipping, stock and promotions, not just traffic.
  • Clear communicator who can work with sales, operations and creative colleagues.
  • Experience launching into international markets (Shopify Markets, duties, VAT).

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling bulky or high-ticket products, ideally fitness, home and garden or similar.
  • An interest in fitness and strength training.
  • Image editing skills (Adobe CC, Canva or similar).
