About Underwriting:

Today’s insurance market is rapidly evolving, with clients and distribution partners expecting highly tailored, swift underwriting decisions. However, many insurers still rely on traditional underwriting processes that can be slow, cumbersome, and prone to errors. At Sollers, our Underwriting Competency addresses these challenges by modernizing and automating underwriting practices – empowering insurers to make more accurate, data-driven decisions, speed up policy issuance, and improve overall efficiency across the insurance value chain.

  • Establish and manage partnerships: Collaborate with external third parties and evaluate potential alliances or licensing opportunities to enhance our underwriting portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor: Provide expert guidance on underwriting related IT projects for financial institutions, ensuring best practices and efficient processes.
  • Serve as a knowledge authority: Offer leadership and insight on underwriting methodologies, tools, and industry trends that shape modern underwriting processes.
  • Participate in agile project teams: Work closely with international clients throughout the development lifecycle, applying agile principles to deliver robust underwriting solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal competences: Join forces with other internal teams (e.g., Process Automation, Data, Cloud) to build synergy and create integrated solutions for our clients.
  • Engage directly with clients: Actively contribute as part of an agile project team, ensuring client satisfaction and solution alignment with business needs.

About the requirements. You need:

  • Proven track record in underwriting or underwriting-related solution sales: Hands-on experience in introducing or selling underwriting platforms or services to large organizations.
  • At least 3 years in Business Development or Sales roles in IT/Insurance: Experience driving sales results, ideally within the insurance industry or related sectors.
  • Experience with underwriting platforms and analytics: Familiarity with software solutions and platforms (e.g., underwriting workbenches, pricing engines, process automation platforms, policy admin systems).
