As part of our ongoing expansion, SOLIS Group is looking for an experienced and fully qualified Gas Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems and appliances across a range of domestic and/or commercial properties. The role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and full compliance with UK gas regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected, established business supporting clients across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
- To provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
- Install, service, and maintain gas appliances, heating systems, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in boilers, heating systems, and gas pipelines.
- Carry out safety inspections, issue relevant certification, and ensure full regulatory compliance (Gas Safe standards).
- Respond to emergency callouts and breakdowns as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients.
- Complete accurate job reports, service records, and risk assessments.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet operational targets.
Key Requirements
- Recognised gas engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent).
- Commercial Combustion Gas Safe Qualifications CCN1 and COCN1 are required while additional modules such as ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CENWAT, and other relevant domestic qualifications are considered advantageous.
- Experience working on domestic and/or commercial gas systems.
- Sound knowledge of UK gas safety regulations and best practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.
