The Head of Product Growth Role

Solis is partnering with a fast-growing consumer company to find a Head of Product Growth. They need someone to take over and transform their existing referral programme into a true viral growth engine, and to own the entire product growth function from there. This is a hands-on role. You will be in the thick of it: leading a small team of engineers and designers, shipping daily experiments, and iterating rapidly on referral mechanics and viral loops. The right person thrives working end to end, from identifying the opportunity to building the thing and measuring what happens.

What You Will Do

  • Take over and transform the existing referral programme into a scalable growth engine
  • Lead a small team of engineers and designers, shipping daily experiments and iterating rapidly on referral mechanics and viral loops
  • Own the entire product growth function: referrals, invite loops, user-generated content, social sharing, gifting, freemium models, and novel viral mechanics
  • Work directly with the CEO, VP of Growth, Head of Product, and VP of Engineering to align cross-functionally and drive organic acquisition
  • Build and own the analytics stack to measure viral coefficients, referral rates, and loop performance with precision
  • Expand scope over time to cover all product surfaces that drive viral growth as the company scales from 100,000 to 10 million customers

What We Are Looking For

  • You have spent 5 or more years building high-growth referral programmes that have successfully helped consumer brands scale. Critically, you have been hands-on doing it: designing the mechanics, running the experiments, and iterating until it worked.
  • The background that stands out is someone who was there at the early stages of a business that went on to become a recognised name. Think the kind of companies that cracked consumer growth at scale and are now household brands. You do not need to have been at any of them specifically, but that early-stage, high-velocity environment is what shaped the experience we are looking for.
  • 5 or more years in product growth, referrals, or viral loops at consumer companies
  • Proven track record of building a referral system that drove material organic growth at scale
  • Comfortable leading a small team without needing a lot of structure around you
  • Familiar with using AI to streamline workflows and create MVPs
  • Technically literate: comfortable with SQL, able to interface with engineers, and happy to get close to the product
  • Consumer background is essential
  • Bonus: you have founded a viral consumer or social app

The role will suit a hands-on leader, who's been at businesses as they've scaled from startups to IPOs.

How You Will Work

  • Fully remote role - you can be based anywhere within the listed locations and do not need to relocate.
  • Availability until midday Pacific Time on weekdays is required for crossover with the leadership team.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
