This is an exciting opportunity to join our Software Engineering Practice as a Principal Engineer, specialising in Java. As a Principal Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation, leading technical teams, and shaping cutting-edge solutions. You enjoy working in collaborative, agile teams and take pride in delivering high-quality solutions that make a tangible impact. You will work across the full lifecycle from requirement gathering and design, through to coding and into testing, deployment, and maintenance. As a consultant with Solirius, you will have exposure to a variety of projects and challenges, championing and contributing towards engineering best practices across our team and projects, and providing feedback to project teams on progress/outcomes.
In terms of specific languages, you should have commercial experience in some or all of the following:
- Expertise in software architecture and design
- Strong project management skills
- Agile methodologies
- Substantial experience as a hands-on Java Engineer
- Ability to advocate Java/Coding principles, practices, and philosophy
