Solirius Consulting delivers technical consultancy and application delivery to our clients in order to solve real world problems and allow our clients to respond to an ever-changing technical landscape. We partner closely with our clients, embedding our consultants into their businesses in order to provide a bespoke service, allowing us to truly understand our clients' needs. We currently have over 250 consultants working with a variety of key clients from both the public and private sectors such as the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCDOS, UEFA, International Olympic Committee and Mercedes Benz; with plans to increase our client base further in the near future. The Role
We are looking for Junior Solution Architects to work on our projects with our public sector clients, helping to deliver Solirius' services to the highest standard. The role will involve working with multiple business stakeholders, helping them to design business solutions which will then be implemented by the delivery teams. As a Junior Solution Architect, you will undertake structured analysis of technical issues, translating this analysis into designs that describe a solution. You will be consulted on design and can provide design patterns. You will identify the deeper issues that need fixing and look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to operate with high levels of autonomy and make decisions on how to manage issues as they are escalated in view of the needs of the client. You will need to be an effective communicator and demonstrate the ability to lead the development of a technical team. Focus tends to shift to customers and you are expected to build consensus between various stakeholders. You are expected to be able to demonstrate creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer.
Requirements
- Key Experience
- Able to build strong stakeholder management and communication
- Hold between 2-4 years of experience in a Software Engineering background.
- Experience in the design & implementation of end-to-end data and application architectures.
- Experience in conceptual, logical and physical modelling.
- Experience in the design & implementation of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in analysing and implementing solutions to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems, system security, cloud and database management.
- Coding experience or understanding in languages such as Java/.Net/Python etc.
