We are an independent digital transformation consultancy with clients in the public and private sectors. We pride ourselves on our ability to solve difficult problems, applying technology in innovative ways to do this. We focus on understanding our client’s business and work with them to deliver change that makes them more effective. Our services are wide-ranging, from advising on technology strategy and conducting digital discoveries to full development lifecycle services and in-live support.
The Solirius Placement programme runs for 12 months from August 2025 to July 2026 and will provide an insight into a busy, successful technology consultancy. You will gain experience designing and delivering the best technical solutions for our clients, supporting their transition to a digital-first culture.
Based in our Service Centre, you will join as a Service Centre Analyst, supported by an assigned mentor and working with consultants across our various practices. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple competencies, allowing you to develop your technical and consultancy skills and gain hands-on industry experience. This is the ideal opportunity for you to showcase your skills and abilities, with potential to be offered a graduate role with Solirius once you have completed your degree.
The Service Centre is designed to deliver high quality service management solutions. Our placement students have a unique opportunity to help contribute towards shaping the direction and offerings within the practice during their time with us.
Requirements
You must be working towards an undergraduate degree, which includes a sandwich/placement year, with a planned return to study in Autumn 2026. At the time of applying and for the duration of the placement, candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
You will be interested and prepared to learn and develop your skills in a variety of technology roles during your placement, including back-end development, front-end development, quality assurance, DevOps and incident management. We are looking for highly motivated, confident self-starters with great interpersonal and communication skills, who are logical, critical thinkers and enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way.
You must be fully flexible with location. Placements will involve some required days in the London office and if applicable, may also involve some travelling to client sites.
Skills required:
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Keen to get involved, interact and collaborate with others and work with a variety of consultants from all practices
- Great communication, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Drive to learn new skills and technologies
- Interest in managing change
- Some understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies would be beneficial
- Some familiarity with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java or .Net is not essential, but would be beneficial
