About you
You will be a motivated self-starter, who is highly organised and able to balance multiple priorities. You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both of which are essential to this role. This role will suit someone who is interested in a career in business administration and operational process development, with a view to progressing towards managing and leading business development processes and opportunities in the future.
Main Duties
- Setting standards and taking responsibility for crafting accurate, high quality, professional, impactful and hopefully successful bid responses.
- Contribute or lead the development of written proposals and presentations.
- Analyse questions, identify win themes.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on developing bid responses, ensuring accuracy, and alignment with client requirements.
- Ensure consistency of style and quality across responses.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to answer detailed technical questions.
- Write content, summarise, shorten, enhance.
- Track bids in progress, outlining potential risks and benefits, as well as the outcomes, collating feedback and providing points for improvement.
- Evaluate incoming bid opportunities against company criteria, managing bid tenders and distributing them to the appropriate departments and teams; prioritise bids based on strategic alignment, potential profitability, and company capability.
- Participate in bid strategy sessions to understand client requirements and competitive landscape.
- Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent Solirius, if necessary, at pre-bid meetings.
Specialist skills required
- A strong degree in any discipline - particularly where analysing information and developing written conclusions forms a significant part of the syllabus, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken word with an ability to successfully engage with team members, clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to write reports, proposals (e.g. dissertations).
- Attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
- Ability to analyse and condense large amounts of information.
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel) and Google Suites.
