We are looking for a Teacher in Mechanical Engineering. As a teaching colleague you'll go into the Teacher Pensions scheme and enjoy some great benefits, including:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs.
  • Assess learners' progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.
  • Focus on planning, delivery and assessment of practical skills in the areas of fitting, milling and turning at Level 2 and Level 3.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in teaching CAD and mechanical engineering including maths and science.
  • Be enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
  • You must have a Level 3/4 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 2 years of appointment, relevant assessment qualifications IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
  • It would be of benefit if you held a Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education (desirable).
