About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager will take full responsibility for sales performance across the United Kingdom and Ireland, driving revenue growth through a combination of strategic account management, business development, and technical sales support. This is a key, field-based role requiring both commercial leadership and strong technical credibility within the environmental and groundwater monitoring space. The role will lead the development of the full product portfolio, including Solinst, Solinst Eureka, and Solinst Flute across the UK and Ireland.

Territory: United Kingdom & Ireland
Location: Hybrid – field-based with a combination of UK office and home working

Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver regional sales targets and revenue growth
- Take a data-led approach to territory management, focusing on top revenue-generating accounts and high-potential opportunities to maximise return, while ensuring appropriate coverage across the wider customer base
- Develop and execute a clear territory sales strategy aligned with group and regional business objectives
- Drive sales across the full product portfolio, including Solinst, Solinst Eureka, and Solinst Flute
- Build and manage strong relationships with key customers, including consultants, contractors, regulators, and framework clients
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across environmental, infrastructure, and regulatory markets
- Lead major opportunities, tenders, and key account development
- Conduct site visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to customers
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical support, operations, and customer service) to ensure seamless delivery
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and key stakeholder meetings
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
- Provide regular reporting to the Managing Director on sales performance, pipeline, forecasting, and key account activity, including periodic in-person meetings at the Redditch office as part of the role
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of environmental legislation and guidance across the UK and Ireland, leveraging this to identify opportunities, support customers, and drive sales across groundwater, surface water, and water quality monitoring, and environmental compliance applications
- Maintain close alignment with Solinst Canada, ensuring consistent communication, strategic alignment, and effective collaboration on key accounts, opportunities, and product initiatives
- Perform other duties as reasonably required to support the needs of the business
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in technical sales, ideally within environmental, groundwater, surface water, water quality, or related instrumentation
- Experience managing a regional territory with revenue responsibility
- Practical experience with environmental legislation, including the Environment Act 2021, Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Section 82), and water quality projects would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to win and grow key accounts, and strategically develop the sales territory
- Background in environmental science, engineering, hydrogeology, or similar would be advantageous
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies

Additional Information
- Field-based role with significant travel across the UK and Ireland (approximately 60–80%), including overnight stays as appropriate
- Occasional international travel to our Canadian headquarters will be required
- Full product and technical training provided, including demonstration equipment
- Full UK driving licence
