Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist with a passion for food safety, quality assurance, and compliance? We are looking for a driven and detail-focused individual to lead our supplier management programs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in a dynamic, multi-site organisation where you will champion a proactive supplier quality assurance, ensure raw material compliance with BRCGS, SQMS, and customer standards, and drive continuous improvement throughout our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full supplier compliance with BRCGS Food Safety, SQMS, Halal, Kosher, customer codes of practice, and relevant food legislation
  • Manage and maintain site readiness for customer, third-party, and regulatory audits – acting as Supplier Assurance expert.
  • Ensure raw material risks are proactively identified, assessed, and managed through effective systems and training.
  • Oversee supplier approval documentation, including product specifications, policies, and procedures, ensuring raw material compliance.
  • Provide strong line management to Raw Material Technologist – supporting development, training, and performance.
  • Promote consistent technical practices and quality knowledge sharing across supply chain base.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and lead improvement activities with suppliers.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Supplier Quality Assurance or Food Safety role within food manufacturing.
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI, SQMS, Halal and Kosher standards and current food legislation.
  • Confident in leading supplier audits and promote partnership and successful outcomes.
  • Skilled in raw material risk management, supplier management best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • A confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly to attend supplier audits in the UK.
  • Lead Auditor qualification (BRCGS or equivalent).
  • Experience working with major UK food retailers and their technical standards.
  • Proficiency with digital QMS platforms and document control systems.
